How to reset VMware VRNI (vrealize network insight) web ui login admin@local

In order to reset the password for the default web interface user: admin@local first ssh into the virtual machine or host using the “consoleuser” user. If you are also missing this password you can login as support as well. Once logged in switch to the consoleuser using this command:

su consoleuser

then type

modify-password ui --user admin@local

at the prompt enter and confirm your new password.

After a few seconds the prompt should return “password reset successful”. You can now go to the web interface and login with your new password.
